Welcome to the New Hope Elementary Principal’s Page! I am super excited that I get to share this great school and a bit about myself with you. We are a Pre-K through Fifth Grade Elementary School with an enrollment of about 1160 students. If you want to learn in a kid-friendly environment, we are the school for you!
I am blessed to be the principal in the very elementary school that I once learned in as a student. I attended NHE as a child and am honored to be the person chosen to lead the school in my adulthood. I want NHE to be the kind of elementary school where students are beating the doors down to get in and where teachers get so lost in teaching that they forget it is a profession.
After completing my degrees at MUW and MSU, I taught at Caledonia Elementary for 17 years. While in my last few years at Caledonia, I was given the opportunity to participate in Mississippi’s Alternate Route Program. It was through that program that I attained my administrative license which has enabled me to serve NHE today.
My purpose as the building administrator is to promote and provide a vision that supports all students growing academically while still having fun in the process. Our school promotes the theme “Learning-Laughing-Loving”, the place where all students are provided the best opportunity to grow academically and love doing it!
My life is super busy as I serve this community while still trying to balance my role at home with my family. I am married and have the privilege of being the mother of two wonderful children. My son, Bailee, attends college while my baby, Sophie, is a student here at NHE. The greatest accomplishment I have attained in life is being chosen by God to be their mother. My promise to you is to love and treat your child in the same way that I desire for those teaching my two!
Please know that your support and cooperation are appreciated! Let me know if I can do anything to help you or to make your child’s journey at NHE better in any way possible. I am hopeful for you and most of all for your child to have the best year ever at New Hope Elementary!
