I have been teaching for seventeen years. Thirteen of these years were spent teaching 3rd grade at Caledonia Elementary. The last four years I have taught 6th and 7th grades at Caledonia Middle School. I love getting to know all my students and watching them grow both socially and academically. My goal is to help students better understand Science concepts by participating in inquiry based learning and to help students develop higher order thinking skills. Students must know how to communicate with others in society and the workplace. By completing various activities and investigations in groups, students are not only learning science skills, but life skills needed to be successful.

STUDENTS WILL INVESTIGATE THE FOLLOWING SCIENCE CONCEPTS:

  • Inquiry Skills
  • States of Matter
  • Newton’s Laws of Motion
  • Energy and Energy resources
  • Interdependence of Life ( plants and living things)
  • Human Body Systems
  • Heredity
  • Cell Reproduction and Heredity
  • Earth’s Atmosphere
  • Earth’s Materials
