Mission, Vision, Note from Principal

Our Vision:

The Lowndes County School District provides a superior educational system that challenges all students to attain their greatest intellectual, social, and personal potential.

Our Mission:

Challenge all students to attain their greatest potential.

Note from Principal:

Dear Parents:
The 2017-2018 school year is here. We are jumping right in with both feet. The 6th graders are getting settled in their new building and the 7th and 8th graders are enjoying the new renovations to their building as well. With any new changes, there are adjustments to be made and we are embracing these changes here at Caledonia Middle School and looking forward to the future.
I would like to take a moment to ask your help in getting your student organized and prepared for this new year. Please help them find a study area at home, as well as a safe, dry place for them to store their textbooks and MacBooks. Periodically make it a habit to ask questions about their classes and check the Caledonia Middle School website weekly for the most up-to-date events (www.lowndes.k12.ms.us/CMS).
I will also be holding class meetings to go over a few items in the handbook such as discipline, dress code, and tardies. Ask them about this information and please help us in impressing upon your child the importance of following all of the school/handbook rules and procedures. This will make for a much smoother school year while at the same time allowing our students to stay focused on their academics.
If you should have any questions, please feel free to contact the Caledonia Middle School staff at 662-356-2042. From time to time, it  may be necessary for us to call you with messages through our automated phone service. Please listen carefully to each of these to ensure that you have the  most up-to-date information concerning your child and CMS.
Karen Pittman,
Caledonia Middle School
